My name is Pamela Sithole and I am the founder of the KnuSkin Ltd. I am a fully qualified Aesthetician and a member of The British Association of Beauty Therapy And Cosmetology (BABTAC).
Bringing wellness, peace and tranquillity to people’s hectic lifestyles encouraged me to open KnuSkin in 2018 and has inspired me to make a difference in transforming and changing the lives of people, in the way that they live, work, relax and shut off, if in fact they manage to do the latter at all. So ultimately, I have found myself reverting back to my childhood love and passion, to help those who are in pain or suffering emotionally to create an optimum mental and physical wellbeing, through skin and body treatments, empowering you to take control of your own wellbeing, by providing you with enough knowledge to do so and allowing you to do this in a very relaxed and tranquil setting. Now having circa 5 years’ experience in this sector, I still have that same drive, love and passion to help people in what I am currently doing, thus gives me a real zest and willingness to share it all, for the benefit of others.
Just like most teenager’s I grew up with problematic skin, regular acne and had spots appearing everywhere on my face, and I would use any products on the shelf to help clear up my skin, but nothing ever helped or worked. I would scrub, use any soap or cleanser that stated it would give me clearer skin, but with no real results. I hated the monotony of it so much, but I didn’t know what else to do at the time. It took a toll on my confidence as a young person and I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do next. I had absolutely no understanding of how to look after my skin properly, if at all, but even at that young age I said to myself, “One day I will master how to get a better, clearer complexion and help others to do the same”.
I went to study at University at the age of 18, and instead of studying something to do with Dermatology, I pretty much chose a degree that would give me a much quicker employment opportunity and a better salary, and so I ended up studying Mathematics and Statistics, and went on to work within various corporate and financial organisations. Life then took a big change in direction for me, when we decided to have a family, but then also came the realisation that trying to do it whilst holding down a full time job, was almost impossible, never mind how extremely tiring and difficult it was proving to be, to say the least. I therefore decided to start looking at the potential of starting and running my own business, initially just buying and selling hair extensions and products.
I took my first step forward and began as a sole trader, and the business started growing slowly but surely, which in turn gave me the confidence to look at how I could expand the business further. So I decided to train as a stylist and eventually ended up running a well-known hair and beauty salon. Things were okay for a while until I employed a beautician in the salon, and I was suddenly reminded of my teenage years and the skin condition issues I had been faced with myself, and more importantly what I had promised myself all those years ago.
I therefore decided to advance my qualifications and closed the salon to train full time in Beauty therapy at a reputable college. I studied up to Level 4 in Advanced Aesthetics and earned several awards for student of the month/ term/year, and even received the Kent student of the year certification. I had become so passionate about my work and was finally able to express myself freely throughout my learning.
I love skincare and would love to help as many people as I can, whether it’s teenagers struggling with acne, mature adults struggling with ageing, men or women desiring clearer, brighter and healthier skin, or any other skin conditions that you may be struggling with, then I want to help you where I possibly can.
I’m continuously learning and have partnered up with good reputable brands like dermalogica and Biotherapeutic, as they are brands that are known to deliver real results, when trying to achieve that near perfect complexion, which in turn allows me to give you the best advice and treatment that your skin ultimately needs.
The condition of someone’s skin is not an independent entity and shouldn’t be treated as such. Skin condition is also reflective of how well you are physically on the inside and so is an important attribute to the wellbeing of the whole body, hence I concluded it is necessary to accompany skin treatments with body treatments, such as massages, spa body treatments and nail care. The most important thing to me is to look after my clients’ complete wellbeing, because “when you feel good, your skin says it all!”
As you now know I have been working as a therapist for over 5 years and have had the pleasure of treating thousands of individuals from all over the world, including celebrities, students, retirees and experts in other trades. They all appreciate the value of a good therapist who shows empathy, is non-judgemental, a good listener and most importantly knows how to deliver a lifestyle changing and long lasting regime, that you can adopt in your everyday lives, just as you will experience with us.
So, if you are someone who generally suffers from anxiety, depression or a sense of loss, then one of our massages could be just what you need to bring some balance and harmony back into your life, and leave you feeling more relaxed, refreshed and uplifted.
Finally, KnuSkin was established to educate you, so that you can understand why, how and when you need to look after your skin better, to help maintain your physical and emotional wellbeing. I believe in providing a very personal service, using the highest quality, result driven products and treatments, whilst imparting expert advice and providing you with an escape from the stresses of everyday life. We hope in turn to provide you with the therapeutic attention and treatments that you need to make you feel invigorated and alive again and ready to face the world, with a newfound zeal and confidence. We want to see you loving the skin you’re in, and that for me is “success”.
So, if you have skin concerns and want a professional consultation or chat about your skin and your wellbeing, then don’t hesitate to give us a call, email us or visit us at one of our centres. We are here to help you at all times.
I look forward to your visit.
All the best for your skin and wellbeing ,
